Kenya offers major push for Bali trade deal ahead of WTO meeting

Kenya has signaled willingness to support the implementation of the 2013 "Bali Package" by ratifying the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) reached at a previous ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Bali, Indonesia. The WTO Secretariat announced Kenya's ratification of the trade agreement on Thursday, ahead of next week's opening of the 10th ministerial conference of the WTO in Nairobi, which aims at reviving the stalled talks on a binding global trade deal.
